Corrections, complaints and takedown
If something here is wrong, we want to know and we will fix it. This page says exactly how to tell us, how quickly we answer, what we will and will not remove, and what to do if you are not satisfied with our answer.
Last reviewed 23 September 2026
One route for everything: the contact form, or email [email protected]. A person reads it. There is no premium line, no form to pay for, and no requirement to have an account.
A price or a detail is wrong
Tell us which practice, which line, and what the right figure is. We go back to the practice's own published list and re-read it. If we misread it, we correct it and the corrected figure carries the date we checked. If the practice's own page says something different from what you were charged, we will say what its page says, because that is what the site reports.
How fast: two working days to look and reply. Reports from practice staff are dealt with first. A verified practice gets a same-day re-read when it tells us its list has changed.
We do not change a practice's figures on request without re-reading the source. That protects everyone, including the practice: every number on the site can be traced back to a page the practice published.
You run the practice
The fastest route is the "verify this listing" link on your own practice page. Verification is free, takes one email or one DNS record, and gets you a mark on the page, a public reply to any review, and your corrections looked at first.
You have a right of reply. Once verified you can post one public reply to each review, and you can send us a statement about your listing that we will publish alongside it if it is factual and does not name individuals or discuss an animal's clinical care.
We do not delist practices. Names, addresses and published prices are business information, and the price rules exist to make them public. We will correct anything inaccurate, we will note where a listing is disputed, and we will remove anything that is genuinely personal data rather than business information. We will not remove a practice because it would rather not be compared.
A review about your practice
Report it through your practice page or the contact form. Say which review and which rule you say it breaks. We look within two working days and tell you what we decided and why.
We will take a review down if it is not from a real customer, if it names a member of staff, if it makes claims about clinical treatment we cannot check, if it is abusive, or if the person who wrote it asks us to. We will not take it down because it is unflattering, and nobody can pay to have one removed.
If you say a review is defamatory, there is a separate process, and the law sets out what your notice has to contain. Tell us: your name; the exact words you complain about and where they appear; why you say they are defamatory and, so far as you can, what is factually wrong; whether you have enough information to bring proceedings against the person who posted it; and whether you consent to us passing your name and complaint to them. We aim to act within 48 hours of a complete notice. We will normally contact the person who posted the review, give them a short period to respond, and remove the review if they do not reply or cannot stand behind it. Where a complaint is clearly well founded we may remove it immediately while we look. We will tell you the outcome either way. Nothing in this paragraph is legal advice or an admission about any review.
Something about you personally
Most of this site is information about businesses, but a sole practitioner can trade under their own name, so a business detail and a personal one can be the same words. If information on the site is personal data about you, you can ask us to correct it, to erase it, or to stop using it, and you can object to us publishing it. Write to us and say what the information is and where it appears.
We will answer within one month. Where we think there is a good reason to keep publishing, we will explain what it is and you can challenge it. The privacy page sets out the rest of your rights and how to complain to the Information Commissioner if our answer does not satisfy you.
Copyright, trade marks and other rights
If you believe something here infringes your rights, tell us what the material is, where on the site it appears, what right you hold and how you hold it, and how we can reach you. We will take down or replace anything we cannot justify keeping, and we will explain our reasoning where we think the use was fair.
We use practice names and marks only to identify the practice being described, and figures a practice published itself on its own website. If you think we have gone further than that, say so and we will look.
If our answer does not satisfy you
Reply and say so, and ask for it to be looked at again. A second look is done by the editor, not by whoever answered first, and you will get a written reason.
After that: for anything about personal data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, and you do not need our permission to do so. For anything else, your legal rights are unaffected by anything on this site and the courts of England and Wales are open to you. If your complaint is about a vet's clinical care or professional conduct rather than about this site, that belongs with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, which has its own complaints process. We have no role in it and cannot investigate it.
Corrections we have made
Published so that the record is public rather than quietly fixed. Corrections to individual prices are made continuously and are visible as the checked date on each figure; what follows are the corrections that changed the site as a whole.
- 23 September 2026. 267 listings that are not veterinary practices were removed from the price pages: veterinary physiotherapists and hydrotherapists, laboratories and wholesalers, welfare and rehoming charities with no clinic, and several amateur football teams whose names contain "Vets". They had been included because they appear in mapping data under veterinary categories.
- 23 September 2026. 37 practices were showing prices read from a page that belonged to a different practice on the same group website. Those prices were withdrawn and the practices marked as having no price page found until a correct one is identified.
- 23 September 2026. 27 towns appeared twice under two spellings, splitting their practices across two pages. They were merged, and the old addresses now redirect.
- 23 September 2026. The out-of-hours list had been built from a mapping category alone and contained 678 ordinary daytime practices. It was rebuilt to require real evidence of out-of-hours work, which is a much shorter list.
- 23 September 2026. Some practices were marked as treating rabbits or horses because a staff biography mentioned owning or riding one. Those tags now come only from the services a practice describes, and the wrong ones were cleared.
Spotted something we have not listed? Tell us. A correction we have to be told about twice is a failure of this page.
